GMT Inc.is the oldest U.S. producer of steel wool floor pads. Steel Wool has long been the preferred medium in floor machine pads because of its superior abrasive and polishing characteristics. However, due to certain drawbacks of older steel wool floor pad products, Synthetic abrasives have become a prevalent alternative. Together with offering the traditional forms of steel wool floor pads, GMT Inc. has innovated a new generation of products that combine the best of steel wool and synthetic abrasives resulting in the ultimate in floor maintenance pads.

• Durability – Tough steel fibers hold up under the most extreme conditions of use. While traditional floor pads are prone to some deterioration under harsh conditions, our new line of nonwoven floor pads are the toughest, longest lasting pads available.

• Versatility – With a configuration for every application, floor maintenance professionals can choose just the right pad for the job. Grades from 00 to 3 and diameters from 5” through 22”, give you the widest and most versatile range of floor pads on the market.

GMT Inc. EXCLUSIVE CONFIGURATIONS:
• Standard Radial Pads – 100% steel wool core with outer layers wound radially to assure that fibers contact surface at the optimal angle for maximum performance.

• Metrix™ Floor Pad – Revolutionary composite textile floor pad employing steel wool and synthetic fibers. This is the strongest, flattest, most durable steel wool floor pad available.

• Stainless Radial Pad – Identical to the Standard Radial Pad but in stainless steel for corrosion resistance and reusability. In Fine, Medium and Coarse grades only.

• PolyMet 434™ - The ultimate stainless steel textile floor pad. Outer plies of tough stainless steel fibers are bonded to an inner core of polymer fibers to produce a pad with the superior cut of a 100% metal working surface with the durability and long life of a synthetic. Both sides are full thickness so the pads are fully reversible, rinsable and reusable for unsurpassed life and value.
